As we are nearly a week into our 9 months of rambling through the UK and Europe, it is about time I begin my on-line journal. It will really just be a lot of random thoughts, recounts of our days, cries for help on how to entertain 2 young children all day, every day, some of Oskar's journal entries and a lot of my rambling on....and all of a sudden I have a blog title! 'Rambling Ramblings' it is.
Íf you are interested, feel free to tune in to the updates. I won't be offended if you just look at the pictures, as the journal is more for our benefit when we look back on all this.
Why the leap? The events that took place last year with Cam's stroke in March and the accident on his bike in December, really made us think about life...and how quickly things could change without warning. Luckily he recovered from both really well, but we took these events as a reminder to take time, to reassess what was important and to take a leap to do something we were scared of doing for a long time.
So, as Lando Calrissian said in Star Wars Episode V1....."Here goes nothing!".........Special thanks to Oskar for the Star Wars reference. How does he know this stuff!?
So, we moved out of our Gold Coast house on Feb 29th in 30 degree temperatures, moved in with Cam's family for 2 weeks, took the kids out of daycare & school, sold lots of stuff, flew to Adelaide for Easter with my family and today we are sitting in our London apartment looking out the window at a very rainy 10 degree, Spring afternoon.
A lot has happened between moving day and now so I'd better get cracking!
